I had previously ignored. I'm not saying please answer some questions, or just not say them out loud, and hopefully he'll be proactive enough to answer questions I didn't technically ask. It's also only a few questions, so the risk is low and the potential loss of time isn't a huge concern, so there isn't much opportunity for loss aversion to come into play. The default option is to at least answer the question rather than move on to the next Phone Number List email. Thank you for your time, I mean his time is valuable and I won't waste it. Carter Powers I am not a faceless entity, but please note that I do not start the email with Hi, I am Carter Powers. This focused the entire conversation on who I was, and whoever I contacted didn't feel like. You'll notice that I haven't talked about scarcity or framing yet. I mentioned before that I skipped scarcity. I think this is a good decision. Is there any way to make the author feel like being interviewed by a middle-class blogger is a rare opportunity? The idea felt forced to me. How about framing? Please note that I did not view this conversation as a huge opportunity to get a lot of book sales. I see this as an opportunity to share a few words on a subject that we all find compelling. This theme continues throughout the email. This is the framework I think works best for my outreach efforts (not necessarily yours.
